I would like to take a quick second to introduce myself and give you a quick overview of what I believe the purpose of this blog to be at this point in time.
My name is Jean Fourie, and I’m originally from South Africa. I have been living in Canada for the past 10+ years and during the last 10 years I’ve been exposed to so many opportunities, people and places that I wanted to take some time to document the good, the bad and the ugly of life.
My intension for this site is to document and share all the items, opportunities, people, places, ideas and activities that I find interesting. This site is also a challenge that I’ve established for myself in that the challenge is for each week of the year, I plan on writing a new article/post. This doesn’t mean to say that I can not exceed this limit, the challenge is merely to have a minimum of 1 article/post per week.
Please take some time to provide feedback or ask questions on any items that I will be discussing in the up and coming posts. The more interaction we can all have the better this website will become. I open all types of discussion as there will invariably be a difference of opinion on some of these topics.
I want to end this post with a quote that I heard today which really struck a chord with me:
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” – Ernest Hemingway
I hope everyone is having a fabulous Easter weekend!
